Straw baling machine shipped to Nigeria
In March 2025, we successfully exported one unit of our TZ-70-70 straw baling machine to a customer in Kano, Nigeria. This delivery marked an important step in helping local farmers improve post-harvest straw handling and reduce labor costs during the busy harvest season.
1. Customer background
The client operates a mid-sized agricultural service company, offering mechanized farming and harvesting services to surrounding rural communities. During wheat and rice harvest seasons, large quantities of leftover straw needed to be collected quickly. To increase productivity and explore new opportunities like selling straw bales to livestock farms, the client decided to invest in a durable and efficient straw baling machine.

2. Customer needs
- Efficient collection and high-density baling of wheat and rice straw.
- A machine compatible with local electricity supply.
- Stable operation in dry, dusty, and uneven field conditions.
- Bale size and weight suitable for storage, handling, and transport.
3. Recommended model of TZ-70-70 straw baling machine
After fully evaluating the customer’s requirements, we recommended our TZ-70-70 model, a fully automatic straw baling and wrapping machine with excellent compression and wrapping speed.

Key specifications:
- Power: 11 kW + 0.55 kW + 0.75 kW + 3 kW + 0.37 kW electric motors
- Bale size: Φ70 × 70 cm (cylindrical bale)
- Bale weight: 150–200 kg per bale
- Capacity: 55–75 bales per hour
- Feeding conveyor size: 700 × 2100 mm
- Air compressor volume: 0.36 m³
- Filming cutting: Automatic
- Wrapping efficiency: 6 film layers in just 22 seconds
- Overall size: 4500 × 1900 × 2000 mm
- Total machine weight: 1100 kg
The machine is well-suited for compressing and wrapping various types of dry straw, including wheat, rice, and corn stalks. Its efficient motor system ensures consistent performance even under heavy loads.
4. Shipping and setup
The machine was packed and shipped via sea from Qingdao Port to Lagos, with a delivery time of approximately 36 days. To ensure smooth setup and operation, we provided:

- A complete English operation and maintenance manual.
- Detailed video tutorials for installation and usage.
- Extra film rolls and a basic tool kit for easy maintenance.
Within 48 hours of receiving the machine, the customer completed setup and began field operations.
5. Customer feedback
“The TZ-70-70 straw baling machine has greatly improved our post-harvest process. We baled over 60 units per hour on average, and each bale is uniform and tightly packed. The automatic film wrapping is smooth and saves time. We plan to expand operations with another unit next season.”
Additionally, the client began selling tightly packed, film-wrapped straw bales to local cattle farms—creating a new income stream from what was previously discarded waste.

Conclusion
The TZ-70-70 straw baling machine proved to be a powerful solution for efficient straw management in Nigeria. With high-capacity output, automatic film cutting, and easy operation, it’s helping farmers modernize their agricultural practices and unlock more value from crop residues.
