In March 2025, our Silage bale wrapping machine was successfully delivered to southern Brazil, helping a local farm achieve efficient silage production and storage. This machine is specially designed for corn silage and other forage, combining high efficiency with easy operation, meeting the needs for long-term storage in tropical and subtropical climates.

Project background

The farm in southern Brazil operates large-scale dairy farming and silage processing, handling thousands of tons of corn stalks and green corn annually. Due to the humid climate and heavy summer rainfall, the farm aimed to improve the density of silage bales, extend storage life, and simplify transportation and handling. They decided to invest in a high-efficiency Silage bale wrapping machine with baling and wrapping functionality.

Machine overview

The farm purchased our Φ60×52 cm Silage bale wrapping machine, with the following key features:

  • Output: approximately 50‑75 bales per hour.
  • Bale weight: approximately 90‑140 kg.
  • Equipped with automatic film cutting and wrapping functions.
  • Can work with forage harvesters and silage storage systems for continuous operation.

This machine ensures uniform wrapping, tight bales, suitable for long-distance transport and long-term storage.

  1. Needs Analysis:
The farm requested better bale sealing, reduced labor costs, and simplified operation. Our technical team provided system recommendations and remote guidance.
  2. Delivery and Installation:
The machine was shipped to southern Brazil and transported to the farm. Our engineers guided the foundation adjustment, electrical connection, and test run remotely.
  3. Trial Operation and Adjustment:
During the first run, the machine operated stably, producing approximately 60 bales per hour, each weighing around 120 kg. Only two operators were needed to monitor film cutting and bale output.
  4. Full Operation:
The farm reported uniform bale size, easy forklift handling, and silage preservation for 9‑12 months. Feed quality improved significantly, and labor costs decreased.

Project results

  • Efficiency Improvement: Baling efficiency increased by 30‑40% compared with manual or traditional methods.
  • Reduced Losses: Tight wrapping reduced dry matter loss, increasing preservation rate by 5‑8%.
  • Easy Operation: Only two operators required for daily production.
  • Convenient Transport: Standardized bale size simplified loading, unloading, and transport.
  • Improved Feed Quality: Fully fermented silage with better flavor.

After-sales support

We continue to provide remote technical support, spare parts recommendations, and operation optimization guidance. The farm can also consider future upgrades, such as larger bale diameter or automated linkage with forage harvesters, for expanded production.
